How can I avoid forcing a newborn’s knees too far apart in a front carry with a wrap?

Choose a position where the wrap passes UNDER the thighs and not BETWEEN the thighs, so you don’t force the knees too far apart. For example: Front Carry Double Hammock style, Off-Center Front Carry, or Seated Sideways. For a newborn before 3–4 months, the distance between their knees should be the same width as their pelvis. The knees should be bent. With a baby carrier, to avoid forcing this position, we recommend using the booster included in the extension kit.
