# I get the feeling my baby isn’t sitting properly — how can I tell if they’re in a good position?

Check the following points one by one:
* baby is in a deep seat (seated/squatting): their base is fully supported, from one knee to the other.
* their pelvis is tilted
* they are sitting on their bottom, never on their feet or ankles.
* their back is well supported
* legs bent at navel height
* head aligned with the spine.
