# Is a baby carrier sufficient for carrying from birth?

The [PhysioCarrier](https://love-radius.com/en/baby-carrier-physiocarrier-46) or [HoodieCarrier](https://love-radius.com/en/baby-carrier-hoodiecarrier-201) with the optional booster seat can be used from birth. This means that you can use this as your only baby carrier.

The [HoodieCarrier 2](https://love-radius.com/en/porte-bebe-hoodiecarrier-II-165) is suitable for newborns, with its narrow, adjustable seat and adaptable center section. The belt attachment keeps the knees higher than the buttocks, with the limbs grouped together.

However, it is true that for the first few months we recommend a sling. Indeed it allows more skin to skin, helps with thermal regulation, lactation and attachment.

The [Little Wrap Without A Knot](https://love-radius.com/en/ring-sling-little-wrap-without-a-knot-18) is ideal in the "off-center belly" position. It is also recommended for use in neonatal wards.
