Love Radius baby wraps: what are the differences between the Originale, the BASIC and the Originale Petite?

The Originale JPMBB: the most versatile wrap
The Originale JPMBB is Love Radius’s reference wrap. It measures 4.90 m long and 70 cm wide. Its width makes it possible to carry a bigger baby and to do back carrying, which the BASIC does not allow. It can be used from birth up to 12 kg for optimal comfort and has been tested up to 14 kg. A pocket lets you store a diaper, comforter or pacifier.
Choose the Originale if: you want a single wrap that will follow baby from newborn through first steps, in all positions.
The BASIC: the wrap for getting started
The BASIC is the Originale’s “little sister.” It measures 4.60 m long and 50 cm wide and has no pocket. It is lighter (800 g) and made from GOTS-certified organic cotton. It allows front carrying only, from birth up to 9 kg (around 9 months). Its fabric gives a cushier feel, while the Originale gives a “second skin” effect.
Choose the BASIC if: you are discovering babywearing, you only want to carry during the first months, or your budget is limited.
The Originale Petite (Originale Courte): for smaller frames
The Originale Petite uses the same fabric and width (70 cm) as the Originale, with a reduced length of 3.50 m. It is designed for wearers up to size 38. It allows you to tie the basic knot with the same comfort and safety as the long version. For size 32–34, the knot generally finishes at the front. For size 36–38, it finishes at the back.
Choose the Originale Petite if: you are size 38 or below and find the classic Originale too long. Above size 38, the classic Originale is recommended.
