What should I do if I can’t fasten the back strap?

You can adjust it beforehand.

Before putting baby in, tighten the waistband at hip level. Slide the back safety strap so it sits in the middle of your back, clip it in, and give it as much slack as possible. Loosen the shoulder straps.

Once baby is in position, grab the back safety strap and pass it over your head, then slip your arms into the shoulder straps. Adjust the back safety strap.
